The Energy Audit Giveaway Contest
is in Its Final Stage

Schneider Electric Water Wastewater Competency Center announces energy audit giveaway, valued up to $30,000.

February 29th was the last day for municipalities to enter the contest. We have narrowed down the entries to 15 potential water and wastewater facilities. For two weeks we will be reviewing and contacting these finalists in an effort to further qualify them for the final drawing. We will announce a winner soon, so please come back to the site often for updates.

The audit will examine various energy-saving opportunities including production process scheduling, pump system optimization, variable frequency drives, peak shaving/load shedding, renewable fuel sources, lighting controls and other operational considerations. According to the Electric Power Research Institute, approximately three percent of the total electricity generated by the electric power industry in the U.S. is consumed by the water and wastewater industry.
