The Energy Audit Giveaway Contest Schneider Electric Water Wastewater Competency Center announces energy audit giveaway, valued up to $30,000. February 29th was the last day for municipalities to enter the contest. We have narrowed down the entries to 15 potential water and wastewater facilities. For two weeks we will be reviewing and contacting these finalists in an effort to further qualify them for the final drawing. We will announce a winner soon, so please come back to the site often for updates. If you were not able to enter the contest, but would like to find out more about how an energy audit can help you significantly reduce energy costs, click the link below and provide us with information that will help us better serve you. > Provide information about your facility. The audit will examine various energy-saving opportunities including production process scheduling, pump system optimization, variable frequency drives, peak shaving/load shedding, renewable fuel sources, lighting controls and other operational considerations. According to the Electric Power Research Institute, approximately three percent of the total electricity generated by the electric power industry in the U.S. is consumed by the water and wastewater industry. “In a recent audit for an environmental services company, we identified nearly $700,000 in annual potential energy savings,” said Mark Williams, national sales manager, Schneider Electric Water Wastewater Competency Center. “We want customers to understand the value of an energy audit and know that Schneider Electric can provide services that save them money and help them do their jobs more reliably and efficiently.” Learn how 13 Massachusetts municipalities are undergoing an
