Patented sensor technology from Schneider Electric helps customers save time and money

The Telemecanique brand XUN PhotoVirtu™ photoelectric sensor offers built-in, teachable, multi-mode technology. It features four sensing modes with a price that is competitive with standard photoelectric sensing technology. This new patented technology from Telemecanique can reduce downtime and sensor inventory, thus saving you both time and money.

XUN PhotoVirtu includes diffuse, background suppression, polarized retroreflective and thru-beam modes and provides optional light or dark operation functionality. PhotoVirtu is teachable with an external, removable push-button providing convenience and a way to prevent tampering. This teachable, multi-mode technology combined with PhotoVirtu's flat-profile, dual-mount housing meets the needs of multiple applications with a single sensor.

PhotoVirtu has sensing ranges from 120 mm (4.72") for diffuse to 15 m (49.2") for thru-beam, and protection ratings of NEMA 4x and IP67 making PhotoVirtu versatile in many environments. PhotoVirtu is available in PNP or NPN.

Where do you use PhotoVirtu sensors?
For the end user, the PhotoVirtu series provides the proven reliability of Telemecanique sensors in the toughest applications. The window setting feature allows simple modifications to adjust sensing limits and limits false-tripping on non-target items. Typically uses of this sensor include:

Industrial Machinery

  • Container Detection
  • Conveyance Equipment
  • Small Object Detection
  • Position Sensing

    Specialty Machinery

  • Door & Gate Control

Zone Control Accumulation Conveyor with in-line check weighing
With the decrease in costs of the 24Vdc motor roller there has been a renewed interest in standardizing on low voltage zone accumulation conveyor systems in warehouse and distribution facilities. This zoned conveyor design can accumulate even around 90 degree curves, which cannot be accomplished on existing standard conveyor curves.
